Questions families commonly have.
Do I need to know all of their accounts?
No. Discovery is designed to begin with the information you do have and look for additional relevant digital footprints.
Will you need their passwords?
No. We do not ask you to provide passwords. Deceased-account processes should use the relevant provider’s official route and evidence requirements.
Can photos and files be saved before an account is closed?
Sometimes. Where a provider offers an authorised route to obtain or preserve data and the necessary authority/evidence exists, the Complete service can help manage that process. It is provider-dependent.
What is memorialisation?
Some services allow an account to remain in a special memorial state after death rather than being deleted. The available features vary by provider.
Who makes the final decisions?
The executor or other appropriately authorised representative. We do not decide between competing family wishes.
Can you guarantee every account will be found?
No. Some services leave no discoverable public trace, and providers generally do not allow third parties to test whether arbitrary accounts exist.
How long does it take?
Discovery is designed to be completed promptly once sufficient information is supplied. Provider-led actions can take longer and vary considerably. We will publish a firm service level only after the end-to-end process has been tested.
What if a provider refuses?
We record the outcome and explain the available next step where one exists. We cannot override a provider’s legal or policy requirements.
